My name is Keith Andrews. I am a British criminologist who has had an interest in crime for over 40 years. I am based in Liverpool, England, a city that has had its fair share of murders over the years. The most famous murder associated with Liverpool took place there in January 1931. I am referring to the Wallace murder case that has baffled armies of detectives, criminologists and crime writers such as Raymond Chandler, Dorothy L Sayers and Edgar Lustgarten. In May 2001, crime writer Tom Slemen and myself decided to conduct our own investigations into the case, and in our controversial conclusion, we not only named a very credible suspect overlooked by the police, we also offered a solution which has apparently finally solved what was known as the "Impossible Murder". You can examine our findings yourself by clicking on our Murder Cases links.
The most famous case I worked on with exciting results was the Whitechapel Murders of 1888, involving a certain mysterious Victorian serial killer known as 'Jack the Ripper'. Again I collaborated with Tom Slemen, and together we analysed every document which pertained to the case. Instead of contructing a theory to which we could fit the facts, we decided to gather as much factual evidence as we could on the case, and it soon became clear that Jack the Ripper was a man with a military background. The full story of our startling conclusion will soon be published in a book.
